1. Scope and responsibility

This Policy covers information processed through SaaSHammer accounts, product submissions, founder profiles, voting, comments, newsletters, purchases, advertising reservations, support, and site usage. SaaSHammer acts as controller when it decides why and how this information is used. Some external providers act as processors or as independent controllers under their own notices.

2. Information we receive

Details you provide

Name, email, username, password hash, avatar, social links, and account preferences.
Product names, descriptions, URLs, screenshots, logos, categories, launch details, founder information, pricing, and promotional creative.
Votes, comments, replies, newsletter choices, support messages, and moderation communications.
Billing contact details and transaction references for launch or advertising purchases.

Technical information

Registration IP address, timestamps, requested pages, referrer, browser and device details, approximate location, and security events.
Session and form-protection data needed to authenticate users and defend the service.
Analytics or interaction data when an optional measurement tool is enabled under applicable consent rules.

External and public sources

Basic profile information from Google when you choose Google Sign-In.
Payment status and transaction identifiers from the checkout provider.
Public website text, metadata, favicon, screenshots, and technical signals requested through Autofill.

3. Information that becomes public

Published product pages, founder profiles, launch dates, categories, comments, votes, rankings, awards, and paid or sponsored creative are designed for public display and may be indexed by search engines. Do not place private, confidential, or sensitive personal information in these fields.

4. Why we use information

Authenticate users and maintain account security.
Review, schedule, publish, categorize, rank, and promote products.
Operate votes, discussions, founder profiles, awards, and dashboards.
Process one-time launch upgrades and weekly advertising reservations.
Generate Autofill suggestions and screenshots requested by a user.
Deliver newsletters and required account or transaction messages.
Measure performance, fix errors, prevent fraud, and enforce platform rules.
Keep accounting records and respond to lawful requests.

5. Legal bases

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on contract to provide requested accounts and paid services; legitimate interests to secure, improve, moderate, and operate the directory; consent for optional marketing or non-essential measurement where required; and legal obligation for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and valid authority requests.

7. Checkout and transaction data

The external checkout provider collects payment-card, billing, identity, and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy terms. SaaSHammer generally receives the purchase status, amount, currency, customer or transaction identifier, selected service, and limited billing information rather than a complete card number.

Launch upgrades and advertising placements are one-time purchases; the current advertising model does not automatically renew.

8. Analytics and interaction measurement

Google Tag Manager is used to deliver configured tags. Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity may be enabled to understand audience, navigation, errors, heatmaps, or session diagnostics. When these tools are active, they may process online identifiers, device details, approximate location, visited pages, and interactions.

9. Email choices

You may subscribe to launch and editorial emails without creating a paid account. Promotional messages include an unsubscribe method. We may retain a limited suppression record so an unsubscribed address is not added again accidentally. Security, moderation, payment, and other required service messages are not marketing.

10. Retention and international processing

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected. Account and listing data is normally retained while the profile or listing is active; tax and transaction records follow legal retention periods; security and Autofill job data use shorter operational periods where practical. Some public discussion or launch records may remain to preserve platform integrity, subject to applicable rights.

Providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or provider data-protection terms.

11. Security

We use measures such as password hashing, access controls, CSRF protection, input validation, restricted administration, and service monitoring. No internet service can eliminate every risk, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

12. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability; withdraw consent; opt out of certain targeted activity; or complain to a regulator. Contact [email protected] to make a request. We may verify your identity before acting. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing.

13. Children

SaaSHammer is a business and software discovery service, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. A higher minimum age may apply under local law.

We may revise this Policy when features, providers, or legal duties change. The date above identifies the current version, and material changes may receive additional notice.
